BB28 Weeks 4-6 Edgic Retro!

Welcome back one and all to the BB28 Edgic Retro! This article will focus on weeks 4-6 in the same format as the last! With the game continuing on and the houseguests settling into their new home even more, what chaos and strategy was brought out? Let’s find out!

Week 4: Once again, one of the Red Trio is in power and it’s everyone’s Kind, Bubbly, and Fun friend Haley! Although we do get to see a lot of Haley’s perspective, it's not always the best look for her or her game as she gets a rather mixed edit. To nobody’s surprises, The Crossovers are once again giving their thoughts and perspectives on the week and potential consequences as our secondary narrators to the HOH alongside Melody to provide some opposition to the power structure. For the first time, Taylor is a rather major player this week and we finally get to see her perspective (albeit quite situational given she was on the block AND had the power of veto within her possession) which was a fun addition to the main roster of characters.

Evicted Houseguest Spotlight - Lyric: Unfortunately, it was time for her swan song as Lyric was evicted this week. Between her showmance no longer being in the game, facing real danger for the first time, and playing hard by throwing all of her allies under the bus while flirting with all the guys, Lyric landed herself a CP2 edit for this week. She showed that there were definitely some brains behind that pretty voice, but the major players had other plans, and her encore was cancelled by getting caught in the crossfire. It was nice to get to see the real player that she claimed to be in her pre-season interviews (even for a brief and not overly rootable moment) and she sure fought hard until she was on her way out the door.

Week 5: Get ready for a power shift as the Red Corner is blown up and the other side of the house wins power! With Lala in the HOH after the iconic wall comp, we get the chance to see a variety of new player perspectives this week. Most other players take a bit of a backseat due to the explosion drama of last week’s vote, while Lala and Taylor get to finally taste some power and really get to show us where they’re at. Speaking of drama, the Red Trio is scrambling for their lives with two of them hitting the block and the other not being so in tune with that trio. Kamu has a pretty big breakout week this week by getting up into that HOH and doing all he can to get any sort of alliance going with the people in power.

Evicted Houseguest Spotlight - Chuk: From house chair to sitting in the interview chair on eviction night, Chuk had a BRUTAL edit week (and rightfully so). Instead of trying to save himself, he blamed almost everyone else (including the person who had the power to put him on the block) for things going wrong, landing him an OTTN4 edit this week. He started off the week #Confused when he saw the block due to his relationship with Haley and berated the HOH for theoretically not knowing what was going on in the house and kept digging his hole deeper with the other houseguests and the audience. Lucky for him, he was sitting pretty until Haley won the BlockBuster and he was the de facto target next to Barrett (who was put on the block specifically because he was NOT the target).

Week 6: Get ready for an absolute power swing of a week! Firstly, congrats to Yash for getting his first real spotlight week as he wins HOH! Him alongside Taylor were our narrators for the week. Also, for the first time… 2 of the icons hit the block! Unfortunately for Yash, however… Devens did have and use the Diamond Power of Veto to save Dee from the block and put up Kamu in her place, making them and their decision making the secondary narrators of the week. Kamu was also a major player and a great advisor to Yash, but he was too juicy of a target to keep in the house when it came to the vote. 

Evicted Houseguest Spotlight - Kamu: Talk about taking back-to-back blows to the head even when not in the ring. Despite his evicted status, Kamu ended up being a valuable asset for his new allies landing him a weekly average edit of CP3. Unfortunately for him, the people he was working the closest with all flipped on him (some for valid reasons, others for… whatever Haley and Chuk were doing) so Kamu was very much on the outs and on the defensive. His overall strategy and reads were pretty good, and he was in a majority alliance for quite a bit alongside having some good relationships with Drew and Yash. However, with how much influence he had over the first few weeks, the house was ready to team up and send him packing since they had the chance after the shift in the “sides” of the game.
