BB28 Weeks 1-3 Edgic Retro!

Hello houseguests, future houseguests, and live feeders alike! Now that we have entered the Jury phase of the game, I thought it would be fun to take a look back at the pre-jury phase of the game and see what stories the editors were trying to tell for the early game! This will be a series of 3 week increments with this first article consisting of weeks 1-3, the next 4-6, and then two more being 7-9 and 10-Finale (once they are done airing). Now, sit back, relax, and let me take you back in time (get it?) to the beginning of the BB game!

Week 1: As the game kicks off, we are introduced to our cast and the set of 3 icons that will be entering the game alongside the newbies! Due to them being in power, we see that the trio of Angela, Dee, and Rick are our main characters for this week. We see their strategies and the inner workings of what they feel will be best for their games in this first round as to not paint an even bigger target on their backs while still ultimately giving them a bit of a strategic edge. Some other notable players are Melody and Jason who share their thoughts on fellow contestants and maybe even get themselves into some alliances and even a bit of trouble.

Evicted Houseguest Spotlight - Ashley: Ashley is as much of a personality hire as I am an avid BB fan. With an edit average of OTTM3 (check the chart attached to see exactly what that means) we get a lot of very fun moments of great personality from Ashley. We laugh with her, we cry with her, and ultimately we watch her game go up in flames before she even knows it’s on fire. She’s not the most prominent character of the week, but we sure know she’s there for the better and the worse (for her game specifically).

Week 2: With an Icon once again in power, they remain our narrative trio of the week. Someone else seems to have also very much slipped in there amongst the big characters, however. Drew once again is shown quite often when it comes to strategy talks and appears to be an integral part of what has been deemed “The Crossovers”. The other member of this alliance aside from the icons, Barrett, is also there, but has a little bit less to say for now. Melody once again sneaks up there into a slight narrator position… what could this mean for her game?

Evicted Houseguest Spotlight - Rome: Oh how the Roman empire has fallen. With an edit average of OTTN4, Rome’s game flamed out as brightly as he came into the house winning safety week 1. He is by no means a villain, but it is clear that he made crucial mistakes that showed both the players and us at home that this man was NOT surviving the week nor would it be good for our main cast to keep him in the game. He gave up his alliance hierarchy to the current HOH (who was not in any of those alliances), got into some heated emotional and tense moments with other houseguests, and ultimately painted a target too big to keep around for HOH Devens despite the potential secret pairing that could have been.

Week 3: For the first time this season, an Icon is not in the power position! Instead, one of their outer ring allies, Kamu, is the HOH of the week. As the main power figure of the week, Kamu is our narrator and we see a lot of his more in-depth strategy as the icons take a backseat for the week. Barrett, although not seen too much, gives us a little more insight into his game now that his direct allies are not in power. Mallory and Melody (also coined as M&M) give us their perspectives alongside Barrett as the week concludes with a VERY messy tea party that they get to bear witness to as the Icons (Angela, Dee, Devens), The Red Trio (mostly Kamu, but Chuk and Haley by association in this trio), and Jason take the brunt of the heat.

Evicted Houseguest Spotlight - Jason: Even if you had your eyes shut for 3 weeks straight, you would not have been able to miss Jason on this season of Big Brother. With an edit average of OTTM3, Jason was “personality” with a capital P. Love him or hate him, Jason made great tv and although his game did end this week and we never got to see the drag queen come out physically, we certainly got to see him put up a fight and give us some iconic moments while he was still in the house.
